The record
Beautiful on the surface.
Bruised underneath.
Vendetta reunites with longtime producer Ambient Act for TRYOUTS, a dark R&B and pop fusion built on synth-heavy atmospheres, deep 808s, and emotionally charged production.
At its core, TRYOUTS follows the collapse of a relationship where heartbreak doesn’t lead to healing. It leads to obsession, resentment, temptation, and revenge. Across the album, Vendetta mourns what was lost while navigating the toxic ways two people try to replace each other, hurt each other, and prove who can move on first.
Dreamy melodies collide with heavy low-end and late-night production, creating a record that can sound beautiful even when the story underneath it isn’t. TRYOUTS is heartbreak without closure: the messy process of auditioning new people for a role that, deep down, you’re still not ready to replace.
